From 10 to 14 November, BolognaFiere becomes the world’s meeting point for agricultural machinery for five days: tractors, combine harvesters and groundcare equipment arrive from everywhere. This is EIMA International, in its 47th edition in 2026.
We are about an hour away, in San Lorenzo di Lugo, in the middle of the fields of the Bassa Romagna — the same countryside that works all year round with machines not so different from the ones on display.
When EIMA Bologna 2026 takes place
The fair runs from 10 to 14 November 2026 at BolognaFiere, 9:00 to 18:30 daily. 10 and 11 November are reserved for trade professionals (trade ticket required); from Thursday 12 to Saturday 14 November the fair also opens to the general public. Around 1,800 exhibitors from some 50 countries are expected, with over 60,000 machine models on show.
Two practical things worth knowing before you travel: tickets are sold online only — there are no ticket offices at the entrances — and admission is free for foreign visitors who register online in advance. The current programme and the ticket shop are on the official EIMA website.
Why staying outside the city makes sense
Five days of an international trade fair means Bologna hotels fill up well in advance, especially on the weekdays reserved for professionals. From San Lorenzo di Lugo the fair is about an hour away — and in the evening you come back to real countryside, not to an anonymous hotel on a ring road.
The parking is private and fenced, with room for several vans. If you are travelling with tools, samples or stand material, you already know why that matters.

- From central Bologna: about an hour
- By train: Lugo station (Bologna–Ravenna line), then a few kilometres
