Stretching approximately 70 km, this looped cycling path crosses the towns of Alfonsine, Argenta, Bagnacavallo, Conselice, Fusignano, and Lugo, offering a variety of terrains—including bike paths, gravel roads, dirt trails, low-traffic streets, and, in some sections, dual-carriage roads.

Your journey begins at the picturesque Ponte della Bastia in San Biagio, following the right bank of the Sillaro River, offering breathtaking views of the Valle Santa di Campotto. Ride through the Boschetto di Via Gabriella Dalle Vacche, an ecological oasis with small lakes, perfect for birdwatching and spotting bats. Continuing along the route, you will encounter the millenary Pieve di Santa Maria in Fabriago, a fascinating testament to the past.

Heading towards Bagnacavallo, don’t miss the Ancient Pieve of San Pietro in Sylvis, dating back to the 7th century, featuring frescoes from 1320 attributed to Master Pietro da Rimini. Take a break at Piazza Nuova, a stunning oval-shaped porticoed square built in 1758, and visit the Podere Pantaleone, a six-hectare ecological conservation area.

In the heart of Bagnacavallo, explore the Giardino dei Semplici, a botanical garden with benches engraved with quotes by Leo Longanesi. Crossing the Ponte e Mulino dei Prati, you will arrive in Alfonsine, where the Special Nature Reserve Visitor Center and the charming Parco Mille Gocce await you.

The journey continues along the Reno River to the Sanctuary of Madonna del Bosco, passing through the Fascia Boscata of the Canale dei Mulini and the Chiavicone della Canalina. Finally, reach the Canale dei Molini, an ancient medieval canal connecting two major nature parks: the Vena del Gesso Romagnola Park and the Po Delta Park. Your ride comes full circle as you return to the starting point at the Ponte della Bastia in San Biagio.
